About Business and Technology

The Business Department offers students the opportunity to gain valuable college prepatory and work-force skills with a up to date software programs and technology. The Microsoft Office Intro .course develops keyboarding speed while also introducing students to Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Business communications and technology skills for the 21st century are emphasized. Microsoft Office – Advanced .continues with intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office products. Students taking the advanced course will be given the opportunity to become Microsoft Office Certified in Word, Excel & PowerPoint. These certifications will be a valuable addition to your resume.

Multimedia.  is a course in which students will learn to create multimedia stories, messages and imagery using and combining film, text, visual effects, graphics, animation, special effects, and sound. Students will be engaged in problem solving, analytical thinking and multimedia and artistic conceptual development. This one year course meets that Computer Literacy and Visual Arts graduation requirement. It also meets the UC (a-g) f requirement.

The class will use software programs such as Adobe CS6  Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Premiere.

Work Experience classes offer students a chance to earn credits while working at a part time job off campus!
