STUDENT NEWS

Video and Film

The Video and Film classes have enjoyed a couple of activities recently. We had a guest speaker, Mr. Mike Etchart from the Ventura County Board of Education, last Friday. Mr. Etchart shared with us his experiences while working in the entertainment industries, and some up-to-date information from career opportunities, qualifications, to the evolutions of presentations in Film Industries. Students then went on a field trip to the Warner Brothers Studio on Tuesday, December 18. They were able to visit a few stages and backlots such as the studio where the Ellen Show is produced, a stage where all Batmobils are stored, had close looks at many props and costumes used in movies, took pictures on the ‘Friends’ television set, and had their pictures in famous movie scenes like ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Batman’ and ‘Wonder Woman’.

Students had enjoyed and immersed in these wonderful career and work-based experiences.

Please see below for some pictures and a link to watch a short video produced by a student.
