Caring Closet

We successfully had the first annual caring closet “store”.   Room 75 was turned into a store where students who needed it could go get clothes that they needed for free.  All donations were provided by Rio Mesa staff and students.  A huge thanks to Gabriela Amon, Susie Barroso, Anna Binney, Rafa Cahue, Paige Egelsten, Claudia González,Diana Guerra, Kristene Kenney, Shi Young Kim, Michelle Martinez, Cuba Montero, Verity Olliff and Cindy Stancil for donating their time to keep the closet open all day.  It was a wonderful end of the year activity that helps students all year long with basic hygiene products.  All the clothes that wasn’t taken was donated to Church in the Alley after.  It was so successful that I will be planning the next one in the fall for “back to school”.
