MIGRANT EDUCATION PROGRAM: Speech and Debate team meeting today during lunch in room 34.  If you are interested in participating in Speech or Debate, there is still time to join our team! Come by room 34 today. Questions? See Ms. Gonzalez or Ms. Duran in the office. (Exp. December 11)

DRAMA CLUB: Rio Mesa Drama Club presents Romeo & Juliet on Friday, December 13th in the Cafeteria from 5pm-6:20pm. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for students. Hope to see you there! (Exp. December 13th)

LACROSSE: Interested in joining Lacrosse in Camarillo? Please visit www.camarilloLAX.com or email ACHSLAX@gmail.com for more information. The next workout is on Saturday December 14th 1:30pm- 3:00pm at Woodside Park. Official practices begin in January and the Club league runs late February through early May. (Exp. December 14th)

MOVIE NIGHT: The Mesa Film Club is hosting a movie night featuring The Polar Express on Wednesday, December 18 at 6pm in the Library. Hope to see you there! (Exp. December 18)

FOOD DRIVE: Did you know that 1 in 5 kids in Ventura County goes to bed hungry each night. Please help by donating any non-perishable food item to The Food Share at one of the yellow bins placed on campus. (Exp. December 20)

What’s Happening?

COZY HOLIDAY STOCKINGS! Share some love and cheer and send a cozy holiday stocking to someone special 💗. Passport to Education will be selling Holiday stockings Wednesday 12/11 – Friday 12/13 (in the quad) and delivering them Wednesday 12/18 and/or Thursday 12/19. You can buy a cute $5.00 stocking that includes an assortment of candies and a handwritten note but wait–there’s MYRRH! Buy an even cuter, $10.00 stocking that includes an assortment of candy, a pair of fun holiday socks, a handwritten note and a stuffed animal! Hurry and buy one for that special someone or YULE be sorry! The SNUGGLE is real!! (Exp. December 13)

REAGAN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: FREE Leadership summit at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. Featuring keynote speakers whose infectious energy and passion for leadership will inspire your personal and professional journey. Expand your network: meet fellow students and mentors throughout the United States. This summit will take place on Friday, December 20th from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM. (Exp. December 20)

COLOR GUARD FUNDRAISER: Color Guard will be selling Reindeer Candy Cane Grams for $1 and Gingerbread Candy Pots filled with candy for $5. If teachers or staff would like to order the Gingerbread Candy Pots filled with candy you can email melanie.manansala@oxnardunion.org . The fundraiser starts on December 2nd and ends on the 20th. ADVANCED PLACEMENT STUDENTS: Your AP exams have been ordered for all students enrolled in AP classes. Best of luck AP students on your exams this May. (Exp. December 20)

SENIORS: If you would like to get a fee waiver for the ACT, please see Ms Montero in the Counseling Office during nutrition, lunch or after school. If you could like a fee waiver for the SAT and did NOT get one last year, please see Ms Montero in the Counseling Office during nutrition, lunch or after school. If you already took the SAT with a fee waiver last year, you get your fee waivers for 2019-2020 from your online College Board account. (No Exp.)

College & Career

OXNARD COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP- Seniors! Oxnard College representatives will be on campus next week Wednesday, December 11th from 8:00am to 10:00am. Any student who would like to attend Oxnard College next fall OR would like to have Oxnard College as their back up school is encouraged to sign up for this workshop in the College and Career Center. If you have already registered for this school but have not set up your portal, please be sure to sign up for this workshop! (Exp. December 11)
