Clubs

The Meditation Club will meet every Thursday at lunch in room 6. Everyone is welcome. We will provide a calm, peaceful place to have lunch and learn different types of meditation.
 

All veteran Ballet Folklorico Dancers please meet with Mrs. Renteria this Thursday at lunch in room 27.

Counseling

Juniors and Seniors – Four Great After-School Programs! Applications due soon! Please see Ms. Brennan in the Office if you want more information on these programs. Please note that students are responsible for their own transportation to all programs and that all programs have limited enrollment. 
 
Pre-Engineering Program: (due Friday, 9/24)
When: 11 Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30pm, beginning Tuesday, 9/28

Classroom presentations:

Senior Action Plan
Early Academic Outreach Program in collaboration with everyone at the college and career center will be stopping by the 12th grade English classes to talk to students about college and university eligibility requirements and go over the timeline for college applications.
We will eventually stop by their social science classes to discuss the financial aid applications and the different types of financial aid.

Parent Workshops: VIRTUAL
Senior Year and Beyond: Financial aid and Community College
English: September 22, 2021
Spanish: September 23, 2021
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Zoom link will be sent at a later date Parents/Guardians and their students will have the opportunity to learn about financial aid.

Information presented: What is financial aid, who can apply, what information is required, and when to apply. In addition, representatives from Ventura College, Oxnard College, and Moorpark College will be present to share information on the different programs and services their campus has to offer.

Outreach Programs Early Academic Outreach Program
Ms. Correa is looking for Sophomores and Juniors that are interested in committing to their education by joining EAOP. If you are interested please stop by the College and Career Center. EAOP

General Requirements
Good Academic standing (2.5 UC/CSU GPA)
Ambition to attend a 4 year university (UC, CSU, Private/ Out of State)
Attended monthly meetings
Complete Financial Aid application (12th)
Complete Community College application

Destination College Advising Corps
Ms. Castellanos is looking to enroll 9th-12th grade students to help support their post-secondary plans whether that is college, the workforce, etc. Please stop by the college and career center or make an individual appointment with me.

DCAC Requirements:
First-generation college students and/or have free/reduced lunch
Any Academic Standing
Attend to 2 one-on-one meetings(ex. 9/16)

 

Sports

Girls Soccer: Tryouts for girls soccer will be on October 12-14 and October 19-21 from 6:30pm- 8pm. (ex.10/21)
