Traffic Patterns
STAFF LOT
The MAIN parking lot at the front of the school is for STAFF and visitor parking. Parking Permits will be checked by campus supervisors and our School Resource Officer daily. This lot is primarily for school bus loading and unloading. Although there is access to drop off and pick up of students in this lot, student pick up at dismissal will be limited to one lane. The staff parking area will be closed to through traffic during dismissal. There is no parking in the BUS LANE.
STUDENT LOT
Morning and afternoon student pick up and drop off is located in this larger lot.
NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN UPDATE:
There will be no left turn from the student parking lot. Cars will be directed to turn right onto Central towards Vineyard.
Central Avenue updates from the County of Ventura, Public Works, and CHP:
You will notice the new delineators placed down the center dividing traffic lanes. U-Turns are not permitted on Central Ave.
Tips and Reminders
- If students drive to or are dropped off at Rio Mesa in the mornings, please allow extra time due to excess traffic from 8:00-8:15 a.m. THE ATTENDANCE/TARDY POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED!!
- STUDENTS MUST BE DROPPED OFF IN THE STUDENT PARKING LOT ONLY
