Rio Mesa High School proudly implements Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a research-based framework designed to improve school climate and promote positive behavior. PBIS emphasizes proactive strategies, clear expectations, and consistent reinforcement of positive actions, creating a supportive environment where all students can thrive.  

Studies show that PBIS reduces suspensions and expulsions, enhances student engagement, and fosters a respectful and inclusive school culture. By focusing on teaching and recognizing positive behaviors, Rio Mesa ensures a safer, more productive learning environment for everyone.
